Our Story

5/11/2016

Cat and Max met in 2016 on a very popular dating app. They decided to meet for the first time at a bar in downtown Portland, Oregon. Each brought a few friends as one should when meeting up with someone from a dating app. Cat arrived with her friends and upon not seeing Max, decided maybe a girls’ night would be more fun afterall. Her new plan was to stay at the bar for just a few minutes. However, upon exiting the restroom with her friends, Cat heard someone yelling her name over and over. At first she ignored and picked up the pace, but after the fourth name call it was clear he had recognized her. So she relunctlanty decided to chat for just a few minutes. Well, long story short, the few minutes turned into many hours including drinks, pizza, a few bars and meeting all his friends. Cat even pretended she knew how to hold a cigarette to Max’s utter amusement and thought it was pretty convincing (it was not). Cat knew by the third date that she wanted to marry him and Max took a little bit longer. And although marriage was discussed quite frequently, Cat did not see this proposal in the sand dunes in Seaside coming. She even thought it was a joke for about 5 minutes due to Max’s choice of a dental floss box to hold the ring. And then there were happy tears for many reasons, one of which being, this was his late grandmother Elsie’s ring and that made it extra special. Even Jonesy (cat) seemed a little less sassy than usual that day. And this concludes the short version of an ongoing story, which we cannot wait to celebrate with all of our favorite people!
